CHEMPOR-2023 Professor Almiro e Castro Award

The Professor Almiro e Castro Award was introduced in 2014 by PARALAB - Equipamentos Industriais e de Laboratório SA to recognize the scientific merit of a professor, or researcher, of Portuguese nationality, under 45 years old who has distinguished in the last three years in the field of Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, and related areas.

CHEMPOR-2023 Young Scientist Flash Presentation Award

This award is presented to a participant aged 35 or below who is judged to have made the best contribution at the CHEMPOR-2023 conference meeting. To be eligible for this award, the applicant should be the lead and presenting author on the submitted abstract, with their name underlined.

The CHEMPOR-2023 Committees will select five judges in advance of the meeting and adjudication will encompass both the scientific content, and clarity of the presentation. Eligible persons should be undergoing postgraduate or postdoctoral research in connection with a University or Higher Education College at the time of deliberation. This includes those working in the industry registered for a higher qualification with an external educational institution.

This award consists of:

  • A certificate.

  • Up to € 250 towards travel, registration and accommodation expenses at an national or international meeting, where the recipient is to present a poster or platform presentation.

  • The possibility to publish the work in one of the special issues.

CHEMPOR-2023 Young Scientist Poster Awards

These are awarded to CHEMPOR-2023 participants aged 35 or below who have been judged to have presented outstanding posters. Adjudication will be done by judges selected similarly to the CHEMPOR-2023 Young Scientist Presentation Award, and the same criteria will apply.

During this meeting, three poster awards will be announced and each of them consists of:

  • A certificate.

  • A Prize provided by one of our sponsors.

  • The possibility to publish the work in one of the special issues.
