Goal of the Conference

The International Chemical and Biological Engineering Conference (CHEMPOR) is a well-established triennial conference, organised by a Portuguese Higher Education Institution and the Portuguese Engineers Association. The goal is to gather experts from the chemical or biological engineering areas and related subjects to exchange knowledge, science and technological applications within the academic, manufacturer, scientific, and technical communities. CHEMPOR addresses the general importance of engineering and technology in a variety of settings ranging from green chemistry to engineering education, always envisaging sustainable development and meeting societal requirements.

Target Audience

CHEMPOR conferences promote the participation and exchange of ideas of a broad spectrum of stakeholders – from academics working in science and technology to researchers and engineers in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and material industries, among others. The aim is to provide a forum for trainees, fellows, and researchers in academia and industry to share and discuss their cutting-edge advances and exchange new research and concepts.

The recent past challenging period pushed us to a two years delay. After such a long absence, CHEMPOR-2023 celebrates creativity, diversity, and friendship among participants, promoting the exchange of ideas and fruitful interactions.

As an attendee, you will have an opportunity to meet and engage with colleagues, and world-leading scientists, not only through the proposed scientific sessions but also through the networking events which will take place during the conference. The Professor Almiro e Castro Award, and the Best Presentations Awards for Young Scientists, will be granted during this event.
